Joseph Cicero

Teaching is not a job or career, it is a passion that is constantly growing. The use of technology enhances not only student engagement, but also teacher excitement. In a world that is ever evolving, education needs to lead the way.   Writing, collaboration, inquiry, and reading are pillars of my college readiness classroom. The use of technology is abundant in my 1:1 setting.  The classroom’s website, is a portal to it’s online environment. Complex tasks and challenging texts encourage discussion and dialogue.  As an urban educator, my goal is to help my seventh and eighth grade students develop into college-ready adolescents by taking challenging courses throughout high school.  By doing so they will have a plethora of opportunities after graduating.
