Jessica Wilkie

I am a firm believer that my job as a teacher is more than just presenting information to students and evaluating their retention and application. I believe that my purpose is to help foster a gateway for my students to interact with the world as insightful and intelligent individuals with both a thirst for knowledge and an understanding of differing opinions and cultures. Through active learning and differentiated instruction, I am proud to create a highly informative and inspiring environment for my students. A very specific goal of mine in teaching is presenting a curriculum full of diversity; diversity of opinions, diversity of genres, diversity of cultural influence, and diversity of time period. Without diversity, inspiration and creativity is stifled.
