Dr. Kate Schiefen is the Dean of Academic Services at Monroe Community College’s Damon City Campus (DCC). Damon City Campus is home to the departments of Education, Human Services, and Law and Criminal Justice as well as MCC’s AmeriCorps, Upward Bound, STEP, and Liberty Partnership grant programs.

Kate presently serves as the college’s main contact for the Rochester Early College International High School (RECIHS), a partnership with the Rochester City School District, St. John Fisher College, the Asia Society, and SUNY Smart Scholars. Kate also serves on SUNY Geneseo’s Education Advisory Board and the Mid-Western Regional P-16 Partnership Policy Group (“JMT-HE”) of regional K-12 district superintendents and college deans.
