Dr. Betsy Ann Balzano is a Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Education and Human Development at The College of Brockport, SUNY. She teaches courses in science and mathematics education at the undergraduate and graduate level and supervises student teachers in the School District. She has taught at the middle school and high school levels in Rhode Island and She has been the principal investigator for over 3 million dollars in funded grants at the state and national levels. She was elected to Phi Beta Delta, International Scholars, received the Greater Metropolitan Rochester Chamber of Commerce Civic Education Award in 1991, the Phi Delta Kappa, Educator of the Year Award in 1985, the Kodak; 21st Century Learning Challenge Award in 1995, the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, and the Chancellor’s Distinguished Service Professor in 1995.
