As a math teacher, my philosophy on education is that students learn math though doing and experiencing the concepts.  I try to run a student-centered classroom, where students have the opportunity to practice skills and build on their previous experiences.  I often use pre-assessments and exit tickets to guide my lesson plans.  I feel it is the teacher’s job to facilitate the learning and to help their students grow cognitively.
